Learnlight Joins Forces with the United Nations Global Compact

Corporate Social Responsibility

Learnlight is pleased to announce that it has joined forces with the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the UN Global Compact Network UK – a voluntary leadership program for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies around the world to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in human rights, labor, environment, and anticorruption, and to act in support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Launched in 2000, it is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 15,000 companies and 3,500 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and 70+ Local Networks.

Steven Kenzie, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network UK comments:The core of the UN Global Compact’s mission is to support companies doing business responsibly. We are delighted and encouraged by Learnlight’s endorsement of our initiative.”

By adhering to the UN Global Compact’s principles and practices, companies are upholding their basic responsibilities to people and the planet, setting the stage for long-term success. This aligns well with Learnlight’s commitment and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices to date.

Rupert Hillier, COO at Learnlight comments:In line with Learnlight’s CSR goals of safeguarding our people, our communities and our planet, we are thrilled to have joined the UN Global Compact. This is an inspiring initiative that aligns well with our ongoing work to develop both policies and practices around Corporate Social Responsibility and our broader aim to help build a brighter, more sustainable future together.”
